The journey to the Gokyo Lake trek takes us to the famous holy Gokyo Lake and Gokyo Ri in the Everest region of Nepal, which offers us an exceptional gigantic Himalayan range over 8000m including the highest Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Ngozumpa Glacier and many more. Eye-catching panoramic views of the Everest region, exotic scenery, and snow-capped mountains make this trek one of the best destinations in the world. Regarding as a best alternative trekking route to the Everest Base Camp, the Gokyo Lake is less trodden scenic treks in the Everest region. Gokyo Lake adventurous trek is filled with sparkling glacial lakes, solitary valleys, a parade of snow peaks together, high alpine yak pasture, stunning glaciers and Sherpa culture in the lap of the Mt. Everest. Gokyo Lake Trekking trail will lead us to the Gokyo and Bhote Koshi Valley by crossing the most outstanding Renjo La pass, beautiful rhododendron, and conifer forests. Impressive Renjo La Pass offers the majestic views of Everest-Four of the eight highest mountain on the earth, Lhotse, Cho-Oyu, Makalu and many more.
Trekking to the striking holy place provides you one of the best experiences in the Himalayas region of Nepal. Lies at the Hight of 4750m, the Gokyo Lake near Gokyo Ri unfolds natural beauty of the Lakes with the magnificent view of Mt. Everest and other neighboring mountains on the backdrop. The lake captivates all the adventurous trekkers with the display of the glorious Himalayas that are above 8000m such as; Mt. Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, and Cho Oyu.
Gokyo Lake Trek begins with scenic air-flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. Around 35 minutes splendid flight offers us stunning aerial views of Mountain Vistas and takes us to the gateway of Everest Base camp trek. Then we can officially begin our trek to Pakdding and Namche Bazaar through the Dudh Koshi River. We will rest at Namche Bazaar and explore the Namche Bazaar and then heads towards Gokyo Ri which offers spectacular views of diverse mountains. After exploring this amazing trek, we will return back to Lukla and take a flight back to Kathmandu.

Itenarary

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu


Once you arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be received by our representative and you will be taken to the your hotel where you can rest and relax. In the evening, our representative will provide you a brief orientation class about Gokyo Lake trek.

Day 2: Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Phakding


Next day, early in the morning after having breakfast, we will take a flight for Lukla which is situated at the altitude of the 2800m/9,186ft. Around 30 minutes flight with the beautiful view of the Himalayas and scenic surrounding will lead you to the Lukla airport. Then we officially start our pleasing walk towards Phakding through the cultured Sherpa Villages with its exceptional beauty and the view of stunning Dudh Koshi gorge, landscape, unique deep valley and beautiful forest Overnight at Phakding.

Day 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar(3450m/ 11318ft.)


Today, early in the morning after having breakfast, we will steadily ascend onwards to Namche Bazaar which is situated at the altitude of the 3450m. Around 7 hours gentle walk through series of pleasant villages to Jorsale, crossing 5 high suspension bridges, deep gorge, the scenic beauty, great views of Kusum Kangaroo, Holi Khumbiyel and Thamserku mountain and soaring cliffs at the backdrop are really phenomenal. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.

Day 4: Accommodations at Namche Bazaar


In this day, early in the morning after having breakfast, we will explore the Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is a very famous place for sight-seeing of Mt. Everest and all Himalayan ranges as well as wonderful sunrise and sunset, not only that it is also famous for a local museum. So early in the morning after having breakfast you will walk around one and a half hour to have a wonderful Everest view and sunrise. After a few hours back to the hotel you will take some rest. Then in the evening, you will enjoy the beauty of Namche quaint village and lively markets, where you will get unimaginable hospitality from the local people. Then you will visit the local museum and, in the museum, you will get chances to see native’s flora and fauna as well as about the history of Mt. Everest. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.

Day 5: Namche Bazaar to Dole (4040m/13250ft)


Next morning, after early breakfast, we will depart Namche Bazaar and we will head towards Dole which is situated at the elevations of 4040m. Around 5 to 6 hours beautiful ascending trail takes you to the ridge of Mong La, a village with the oldest stupa, breathtaking towering Mountain View on your right side, the first view of the 6th highest mountain of the world Cho-Oyu and beautiful small settlement is quite fabulous. Overnight at Dole.

Day 6: Dole to Machhermo (4,410m/14468ft.)


Today, early in the morning after having breakfast, we will make easy and short trek towards Machhermo which is located at the altitude of 4410m. During you’re around 3 to 4 hours trail, you will get chances to witness the legends of Yati, amazing view of peaks like Kyojo Ri and Machhermo peak and in the evening, you will explore the Machhermo. Overnight at Machhermo. 

Day 7: Machhermo to Gokyo (4754m/15597ft.)


In this day, early in the morning after having breakfast, we will begin our fabulous trek towards Gokyo which is situated by the side of third big lake and Cho-Oyu at the backdrop is unimaginable and also offers us an outstanding mountain views together with dazzling series of turquoise blue glacial lakes. The wider trail towards the altitude of Gokyo (4754m) let you witness stunning view of blue lakes is simply out of this world and make you feel contentment of being there is worthwhile. Overnight at Gokyo.

Day 8: Ascent of Gokyo Ri (5483m/17988ft.)- Trek back to Dole


Today, early in the morning before having breakfast, we will trek towards very challenging summit Gokyo Ri for the most exceptional view of magnificent sunrise, Mt. Everest, Ngozumba glacier, Chho-yo, Tabuche Cholate, Makalu, Amadablam, Thamserku and its neighboring peaks. Then we will trek down to Dole. Overnight at Dole.

Day 9: From Dole to trek back to Phortse (3,810m)


In this day, early in the morning after having breakfast, we will return back to Phortse, which is situated at the elevations of 3810m.

Day 10: From Phortse to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)


Today, early in the morning after having breakfast, we will return back to Namche Bazaar, here once you will get chances to view amazing sunrise and sunset views along with stunning Mt. Everest and the other Himalayas views. In the evening, you will once discover the Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.

Day 11: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,840m)


Today, early in the morning after having breakfast, we will return back to Namche Bazaar, here once you will get chances to view amazing sunrise and sunset views along with stunning Mt. Everest and the other Himalayas views. In the evening, you will once discover the Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.

Day 12: Back to Kathmandu


Today, early in the morning after having breakfast, you will take a flight to Kathmandu. Around 35 minutes flight provide you breathtaking view of all the Himalayan range for the last time. After reaching Kathmandu hotel you will rest and relax with the beautiful memories and capture images. In the evening, there will be farewell dinner. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 13: Day 13: Final Destination


Today is your final day in Nepal and it is time to say goodbye and take a flight back to your home keeping all the experiences in Nepal.

  • Nepal entry visa; you can obtain the visa easily upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu (Tourist Visa with Multiple Entries for 15 days can be obtained by paying USD 25 or equivalent foreign currency. Similarly, Tourist Visa with Multiple Entries for 30 days and 90 days can be obtained by paying USD 40 and 100 respectively. Please bring 2 copies of passport size photos.)
