Climbing in the amazing Tent Peak is a worthy challenge to experience for the enthusiastic trekkers in the Annapurna Sanctuary region of Nepal. Tent peak climbing is also known as Tharpu Chilu peak climbing, which offers us superb views of unparalleled Annapurna Sanctuary from the summit of Tent Peak and other magnificent Himalayas such as; Hiunchuli, and Singuchuli. Tent Peak is one of the famous and alluring climbing peaks in the Annapurna Sanctuary region of Nepal as it is suitable for all experienced trekkers and novice climbers. Tent Peak Climbing let you have an exhilarating climbing experience to stand on a summit of the wonderful mountain at 5663 meters, which provide you unforgettable memory and feel you as a sense of accomplishment as you are on the top of Mt. Everest. Tent Peak climbing lets you visit Machhapuchhre Base Camp which is the perfect place to view sensational mountain vista and excellent photo spot. Tent Peak provides us an ideal opportunity to enjoy the most beautiful Himalayas summit, combining glacier travel, tiptoeing on the knife ridges, face climbing, a breathtaking circle of hanging glaciers and moraines.

Tent Peak Climbing is physically demanding expedition as it needs medical trained and experienced group leader to lead your trip, and safety back up like a medical box, rope, and Oxygen to cope with future problems that may arise. You will be guided by experienced and qualified staff before climbing, who helps you to for your safety and accomplish successful summit. This amazing Tent Peak climbing begins from Kathmandu to Pokhara with scenic aerial views of Green and white mountains. From Naya Pul we begin our official trek towards Tent Peak.

Itenarary

Day 1: Arrival day in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft)


As you will arrive at Kathmandu, Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will welcome you and drop you to your hotel from the airport. After hotel check out you can take a rest or tour the Thamel area which is a popular tourist hub. In the evening you can enjoy a welcome dinner held in our honor. Overnight in Kathmandu. 

Day 2: Kathmandu: sightseeing and preparation


After a pleasing night in the hotel, today, we will manage you to visit Kathmandu major world heritage site such as; Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Syambhunath temple and Kathmandu Durbar Square. In the evening, you will be prepared for the next day trek and stay overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Kathmandu to Pokhara (823m/2,700ft):


After early breakfast, you will take a domestic air flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Around 30 minute’s scenic flight take you to the paradise city Pokhara. This heavenly city is known as a tourist’s paradise with full of natural beauties. In the evening, you will discover paradise city Pokhara. You will visit three famous Lake (Fewa, Rupa, and Begnas lake), amazing Mahendra Cave, Devid Falls and some stunning mountain views such as; Annapurna, Machhapuchhre(Fishtail), Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal and so on. We will stay overnight at Pokhara.

Day 4: Drive to Naya Pul and trek to Ghandruk (1940m/6360 ft): 5-6 hours trek


In this day, after having breakfast, we will drive for about an hour to reach Naya Pul. As we reach to Naya Pul, we will begin our official trek to Ghandruk. On the way to Ghorepani, we will get chances to visit Birethanti, village and again continue our trail towards Ghandruk with the exciting panoramic views of the mountains. We will continue our pleasing trail through beautiful villages and get chances to admire the rural lifestyle of western Nepal. We can also cross the suspension bridge over Khumnu Khola and finally reach to the beautiful Ghandruk Village. As you reach to the village you will get chances to have a great view of Machapuchhre, Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli mountains.  Overnight in Ghandruk.

Day 5: Ghandruk to Chhomrong (2170m/7120ft): 6 hours


Next day, after an early breakfast, we go for an easy trek upwards to Chomrong through the beautiful rhododendron, oak and Sal dense forests by the side of Kimrung Khola. Then you will be ascending steeply towards Chomrong and you will finally reach to Chomrong. On the way, you can view a great Himalayas such as; Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre You will stay overnight at Chomrong.

Day 6: Chhomrong to Dobhan (2,600m/8,530ft): 5-6 hours


Today, early in the morning after having breakfast, we will trek towards Dovan, along the Modi Khola, which is situated at the altitude of 2630m. our trail descends down through the thousands of stone staircase and beside the Chomrong Khola and you will climb to Sinuwa at the altitude of 2340m. we will also cross a suspension Bridge over the Chhomrong Khola. We will have an easy walk through rhododendron orchids and bamboo. The further trail through the cool forest will take you to Dovan. Overnight at Dovan.

Day 7: Dobhan to Deurali (3,230m/10,597ft): 1 hour 30 mins


The Next morning, after early breakfast, we will step towards Deurali, which is situated at the altitude of the 2330m. we will trek through silence jungle with impressive mountain views. It is believed that mountains are sacred and holy. Mt. Annapurna is regarded as ‘full of food’ which means Goddess of the Harvest. In Hinduism, Annapurna Mountain is considered as the universal and timeless kitchen-goddess. The further trail will lead you to the Deurali and we will stay overnight at Deurali.

Day 8: Deurali to Machhapuchre Base Camp (3700m/12135ft): 3-4 hours


After breakfast, we will continue our trek towards Machhapuchhre, which is situated at the altitude of 3700m. Around a half an hour walk from Deurali, we will be ourselves in the middle of a river bed, which is surrounded by the massive snow-covered mountains. The trek towards Machhapuchre Base Camp is quite strenuous but the unfolding views of the majestic Machhapuchre are certainly worth it. We enjoy looking at Mt. Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gangapurna and, the Fishtail or Machhapuchhare itself. Overnight in Machhapuchre Base Camp. 

Day 9: Acclimatization and preparation


As morning rises, today is a rest day at Machhapuchhre Base Camp for the next day. In this day we will take a short briefing class from our representative guide. We can also practice peak climbing techniques and the best ways to utilize the climbing gears such as climbing boot, ice ax, harness, jumar, and using rope up and down. Beside this, we will also learn about knots and gears from our guide which helps us to boost our ensuring a successful summit of the Tent Peak. We can spend the rest of the afternoon going for a short trek nearby and rest. Overnight at Machhapurchre Base Camp.

Day 10: Machhapuchre Base Camp to Cave Camp (4,250m/13,943ft): 5-6 hours


In this day, after having breakfast in the morning, we will begin our trail alongside the Modi Khola. The way after some walk offers us a magnificent view of South Annapurna Glacier. The further straight-ahead trail from the Annapurna glacier leads us to the Cave camp. Overnight in Cave Camp. 

Day 11: Cave Camp to High Camp (5,200m/17,056 ft): 4-5 hours


After having breakfast, we will ascend on a steep trail to the Tent Peak (Tharpu Chuli) High Camp. It is situated at the summit of 5200m. As we climb we need to fixed rope and helmet today. Then for around 2-3 hours, we need to ascend on a 50-60-degree steep path and trek on a glacier of 30 degrees. High Camp offers us panoramic views of Hiunchuli (6441m), Annapurna South (7229m), Annapurna I (8091m), Machapuchhre and many more stunning peaks. As we reach to Cave Camp, we will stay overnight at Cave Camp.

Day 12: Summit Tent Peak (Tharpu Chuli), return to high camp: 9-10 hours


Next morning, after having breakfast, we will begin our journey to the summit of Tent Peak. around 2 hours we will walk on a rock and snow for around an hour. Further trek will be upward on a steep slope of 70 degrees (100m). Then we walk on a flat trail for around 30 minutes and reach the summit of Tent Peak/ Tharpu Chuli. We climb on fix ropes to reach the final summit. After conquering Tharpu Chuli, we return by the same route to the high camp. Overnight in High Camp.

Day 13: Tent Peak High Camp to Machapuchhre Base Camp: 4-5 hours


Today, after having breakfast, we will begin the trek from the high camp of Tent peak and descend down to Machapuchhre base camp. We use the same trail that we had used previously. After reaching Machapuchhre base camp, we take a rest. Overnight in Machapuchhre base camp.

Day 14: Machapuchhre Base Camp to Bamboo (2310m/7575ft): 6-7 hours


In this day, we will continue our trek towards Bamboo, which is situated at the summit of 2310m. We will continue our trail from the base camp through descending down to the same trail until we reach to Bamboo. On the way to the bamboo, we can enjoy the stunning views of waterfalls and pass through the beautiful forests soaking in great views of Machapuchhre and Hiunchuli mountains. Overnight in Bamboo. 

Day 15: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1760m/5770 ft): 6-7 hours trek


After having morning breakfast, we will continue our trail from Bamboo to Jhinu Danda. We continue to ascend to Kuldi Ghar and then to Sinuwa on a sharp trail. We will follow the stone steps until you will reach to Lower Chomrong. Then we ascend on the thousand stone steps that will take us to Upper Chomrong. From Chomrong we descend to Jhinu Danda. While here we can relax on a natural hot spring which is only 15 minutes away from where we are staying. Overnight in Jhinu Danda.

Day 16: Jhinu Dada to Naya Pul, drive to Pokhara: 6 hours trek, 1-hour drive


Today is your last day of the Tent Peak Climbing, around 6 hours, we will make our step toward Nayapul via Birethanti. After you reach to Nayapul, you will drive by AC tourist bus to Pokhara. In the evening, you can explore paradise city Pokhara and stay overnight at Pokhara.

Day 17: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu: 6 hours


In this day, after early breakfast, we will drive to Kathmandu from Pokhara. Around 6 to 7 hours’ drive offers you to witness different ethnic settlement on the way and scenic surrounding during your journey. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 18: Kathmandu rests day and enjoys farewell dinner.


The next day, you can have a rest and shortly look after all the snaps that you captured along the trek. If you wish you can do some shopping in the Thamel Bazaar as well. We’ll stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 19: Final departure


Our Tent Peak Climbing comes to an end this day. A representative will help you to find your flight onwards your home. Today, you will leave naturally beautiful country Nepal with your final departure.

  • Nepal entry visa; you can obtain the visa easily upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu (Tourist Visa with Multiple Entries for 15 days can be obtained by paying USD 25 or equivalent foreign currency. Similarly, Tourist Visa with Multiple Entries for 30 days and 90 days can be obtained by paying USD 40 and 100 respectively. Please bring 2 copies of passport size photos.)
