Overview

The Langtang Gosaikunda trek is one of the most famous ideal trekking destinations in Langtang region. The land of Langtang Gosaikunda consists of 108 exotic Glacier lakes which are scattered around the Gosaikunda region with lush wild nature, picturesque sceneries, beautiful landscapes, brilliant surrounding of Himalayans ranges, and delightful forest is a variable paradise for out-door enthusiasts. Its mesmerizing natural attractiveness along with wild traditional civilization of Tamang, and Sherpa is one of the best parts of this trek. Observing way of life of the people and doing agriculture farming, animal rearing, Yak pastures and Cheese as their own business for a livelihood is undoubtly provide you an opportunity to experieces the rural life.
 
The Pilgrimage place Gosaikunda Lake has a great religious value in the Hindu religion. It is believed that Lord Shiva dug by himself with his holy trident and generate a Gosaikunda lake including other 108 lakes in this region. Langtang Gosaikunda, encircled with the splendid Himalayan landscapes, is considered as a paradise on the earth. You will feel blessed to be in this paradise along with the magnificent views of the mountain trail that has the altitude of 4,000m above the sea level. Being the major attraction of Langtang, Langtang National Park, consists of the rare and endangered wildlife such as, Red Panda, Himalayan black bear, wild boar, grey langur Monkey and many more. The mesmerizing forest blends of beautiful rhododendrons, oak, chir, hemlock and pine trees will spice you up during your trek. Not only that, you will also get chance to explore natural beauties and experience intimate excursion in nature. The cultural prosperity and profundity are also the intriguing factor for the trekkers. This amazing journey begins from Kathmandu. It takes around 6 to 7 hours’ drive to Dhunche Bazaar. The trekking start from the Dhunche Bazaar to Chandan Bari passing through Deurali. Trekkers will rest at Chandan Bari and next day they move towards Gosaikunda Passing through Lauri Binayak. By exploring Sundarijal, they will return back to Kathmandu.

Itenarary

Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu


As you arrive at the Kathmandu Airport, our representative will welcome you and he/she will drop you to your hotel so that you can relax and take rest in the hotel.  In the evening, our representative will provide you a brief orientation class in the hotel about the trekking. In the evening, you can enjoy welcome dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing


The next day, we’ll manage for you to visit some religious and historical places in Kathmandu Valley. We will begin our sightseeing tour within Kathmandu, observing the UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as; Hanuman Dhoka Square, Pashupatinath Temple, and Swoyambhunath and so on. Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath which are the most famous place in Kathmandu. You will spend your evening time by preparing for the next day trek. Overnight in the same hotel.

Day 3: Kathmandu -Syabrubesi 1,460m. Approx 7-8 hours’ drive.


In theis day, after early breakfast, we will begin our journey to Syabrubesi. You need to drive around 7 to 8 hours to reach Syabrubesi, which is situated at the altitude of 1,460m. The drive passes through winding route that goes uphill and downhill. On the way, you will see some rural towns and farm villages and finally, you will reach a large town called Trisuli Bazaar, which lies in the subtropical climatic zone. Then you will continue your trek toward uphill through the rice paddy field, maize, and millet terraced field until you will reach Dhunche. In Dhunche, you will be encounter in the headquarters of the Langtang National Park Office, The Royal Nepalese Army will check trekking and Park permits as well as serve as the Park Warden. From here, you will continue your trekking toward downhill. It takes around 1 to 2 hours to reach Syabrubesi Village. We’ll stay overnight at Syabrubesi Camp.

Day 4: Trek to Riverside (2,240m)


Today, after morning breakfast, you will continue our climb for a while and continue gradual winding trail through the terraced farm fields and beautiful villages. Then the trail continues toward Syabru at the Riverside Lodge near the place of Bamboo, an ideal spot for camping where you can enjoy a refreshing splash in the upper Trisuli River. We’ll stay overnight in the Camp.  

Day 5: Trek to Ghore- Tabela (3,020m)


In this day, our destination will be Ghore-Tabela which is situated at the elevation of 3020m.you need to walk around 5 hours to reach Ghore-table. The trek will lead you to a cool forest of rhododendron and oaks in the valley which follows the surging glacial river Trisuli upstream. After around 3 hours trek you will reach Lama-Hotel, where you can get facilities for camping and lodges for backpackers. Then you will continue your trek around 2 to 3 hours to reach up to wonderful spot at Ghore- Tabela. Ghore- Tabela is an amazing place which is situated in the middle of the pines, hemlocks and rhododendron forest, which is also called horse-stable in Nepali. We’ll stay overnight at the Ghore- Tabela.

Day 6: Trek to Langtang Village (3,430m)


In the next morning, after having breakfast, you will trek toward Langtang, which is located at the elevation of 3,430m. You need to trek through the cool shade of the alpine wood and you will continue towards uphill until you reach to Lantang. Then you will have a lunch in the Lantang where you will get chance to interact with the local folks and visit the colorful villages with the beautiful glimpse of Langtang Himal.

Day 7: Trek to Kyangin Gompa (3,850m)


Next day, early in the morning, the trek leads towards Prickly Burberry and High alpine Shrubs encountering a wonderful Mani-Prayer Wall, where you will get chance to explore the local culture and religion of the native people. Then you will continue your trek and during your trek, you will get an opportunity to view wonderful numerous snowcapped peaks. The pleasant and vigorous trek will lead you to at Kyangin Gompa, a scenic charming spot surrounded by the peaks. Langtang Lirung is the closest peak from Kyangin Gompa, where you can see and enjoy a close view of the icefall. There is also one small monastery, located at the top of the ridge formed by a beautiful glacier moraine of rocks and boulders. We’ll stay overnight Camp.  

Day 8: Acclimatization Day


Kyangin Gompa is an interesting place to look around. In this day, early in the morning after having breakfast you will make a short walk toward Kyangin, which is located at the altitude of 4,700m. And you will also have a panoramic view of the surrounding snowcapped peaks.

Day 9: Trek to Lama Hotel (2470m)


After spending a wonderful night at Kyangin, we’ll head toward Lama-Hotel, a small settlement in the midst of the forest at the bank of the upper Trisuli River. We’ll stay overnight in the Camp.

Day 10: Trek to Upper Syabru (2,720m)


In this day, you will trek around 5 to 6 hours to reach Upper Syabru. You will follow the same route through the scenic bamboo forest along with one beautiful river and continue trek upwards to Upper Syabru. During your trek, you will pass landslide area of rocks and boulders and farm terraces. Nearby Syabru you will also witness one small monastery. We’ll stay overnight in the Camp. 

Day 11: Trek to Singh Gompa/ Chandanbari (3,250m)


Early in the morning, after having breakfast, our trail destination will be towards Singh Gompa/ Chandabari, which is situated at the elevation of 3,250m. During your trek, you will get chances to see a stunning view of Ganesh-Himal, Manaslu, Langtang and Annapurna ranges. Also there, you will explore famous teahouse where you can have delicious traditional lunch. Then finally, you will reach Sing Gompa throughout the beautiful pine and rhododendron forest. We’ll stay overnight in the camp near the serene Monastery.

Day 12: Trek to Gosainkunda (4,380m)


Goisakunda is a famous place for breathtaking views which offers you spectacular views of mountains with snow peaks such as; Ganesh- Himal, Manaslu, Annapurna, Langtang, Laubrebin and so on.  You will trek through the woodland of oaks, pines and rhododendron forest.

Day 13: Rest Day at Gosaikunda


 In this day, you will walk around the lake and go for a short hike in order to view magnificent panoramic central Himalaya; Manaslu and Annapurna range.

Day 14: Trek to Ghopte Odar (3,430m)


From the Gosaikunda, you will make a gradual trek along the banks of the lake until you will reach the east Laurebina La, which is the highest spot of this trek. Then you will have a lunch and continue your trek throughout the vegetation of junipers, rhododendron and other alpine bushes towards the east Helambu region. You will stay overnight in the camp. 

Day 15: Trek to Manage-Ghot (3,220m)


In this day, our destination will be the Manage- Ghot, which is situated at the elevation of 3,220m. It takes around 5 to 6 hours trek to reach Manage- Ghot. During your trek, you will pass alpine forest with the view of snowcapped peaks of Jugal Himalayan range in the east and Ganesh- Manaslu in the west. Then finally you will reach Manage- Ghot which is a very beautiful place with grassy field and an Army Barrack nearby. You will stay overnight in the Camp.

Day 16: Trek to Gul-Bhanjyang 2,142m 5-6 hours walk.


The trek destination is to Gul-Bhanjyang where you will get chances to visit farm fields, some Sherpa and Tamang Village along with beautiful forest. A few hours walk leads you to Kutusang Village which is situated at the altitude of 2,470m. Then you will continue your trek until you will reach Gul-Bhanjyang Village. You will stay overnight in the Camp.

Day 17: Trek to Chisopani Danda 2,195m approx. 5 hours.


Chisopani Danda is a popular scenic spot which is located at the top of the Hillock EN- route to Kathmandu from where you will get an opportunity to view panoramic Jugal Himal, Manaslu Himal and Annapurna range in the west. In addition, you will also view some wonderful glistening snow peaks and lovely surrounding landscapes. You will stay overnight in the Camp.

Day 18: Trek to Sundarijal (1,380m)


Chisopani Danda is a popular scenic spot which is located at the top of the Hillock EN- route to Kathmandu from where you will get an opportunity to view panoramic Jugal Himal, Manaslu Himal and Annapurna range in the west. In addition, you will also view some wonderful glistening snow peaks and lovely surrounding landscapes. You will stay overnight in the Camp.

Day 19: Rest day in Kathmandu


The next day, you can have a rest and shortly look after all the snaps that you captured along the trek. If you wish you can go shopping as well. We’ll stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 20: Transfer to the Airport for Final Departure


The next day, you can have a rest and shortly look after all the snaps that you captured along the trek. If you wish you can go shopping as well. We’ll stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Similarly, Tourist Visa with Multiple Entries for 30 days and 90 days can be obtained by paying USD 40 and 100 respectively. Please bring 2 copies of passport size photos.)
