Overview

Langtang Trek is one of the most famous wildest treks in Nepal that lies around 19 miles far from the Kathmandu on the north. It is an amazing trek to the Valley of the glacier which lets you explore the Himalayas wilderness. Langtang is fused with huge snow-capped mountains, gorgeous glaciers, a forest of pine and rhododendron, rugged rock, grassy lawn, meadows, and rural people and their exceptional culture and traditions. The whole Langtang Valley is dominated by the stunning mountain called Langtang Lirung (7246m/ 23766ft), the highest peak in the area. Trekking through the beautiful forest by following the Langtang river that this trip offers is the really amazing trip of your life. Exploring the major attraction of this trek is Kyangin Gompa (3049/10000ft), Tserko Ri (4984m), enjoying with the natural wonder, visit local Tibetan settlement during our trek are the best part of this trek. Beside this visiting ancient Buddhist monastery and impressive glaciers in Langtang is surely unexplainable.
 
This Langtang trek begins from Syabru Besi after around 9 hours scenic drive from the capital city of Nepal. Trekking through following upstream Bhote Koshi River and various ethnic Tamang Villages, lush green forests and the widespread Kyangin Valley with the enclosed stunning snow-capped mountain in the background is really awesome trekking. As you reach the desired destination called Kyangin at the Hight of 3800 meters, where you will also get an opportunity to explore Kyangjin Ri (4350m) ascending up and have a magnificent view of the 360-degree mountains are truly panoramic. After exploring Kyangjin Ri, we will return back to Kathmandu by following the familiar route.

Itenarary

Day 1: Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu


After you arrive in Kathmandu, there you will meet with our Airport Representative and transferred to hotel by private tourist vehicle. Afternoon strolls in Tourist colorful market, Thamel downtown. Overnight in a hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu Valley sightseeing and trek preparation


After breakfast, meet the city tour guide, then begin the day with sightseeing tours of Kathmandu Valley. A full day sightseeing takes you to Pashupatinath Temple, Patan Durbar Square, Boudhanath Stupa and Swyambhu. Pashupatinath the holiest Hindu Temple on the bank of sacred Bagmati River, Bodhanath Stupa-the biggest Buddhist Stupa architecture in the world. Patan Durbar Square is the oldest city in the Kathmandu valley with old tradition also called Lalitpur-the city of fine arts. This visit covers the Durbar Square, the Krishna temple, the Kumbheswore temple, the Golden temple and many more. Swayambhunath is a popular tourist’destination in Kathmandu amongst Buddhist, situated on the top of a hill, west of Kathmandu. In the evening you will meet your trekking guide who will deliver your trekking equipment. Take your time to pack and be preparing for an early morning start.

Day 3: Kathmandu to Syabru Besi (1,462m)


As you arrive early in Kathmandu, we’ll drive towards Syabru Besi from Kathmandu. The journey provides you wonderful view of Manaslu, Annapurna, and Ganesh Himal. Overnight at SYabru Besi.

Day 4: Trek to Lama Hotel (2,500m)


Next morning, after having breakfast, we’ll trek onwards Lama Hotel. We will head towards Langtang Khola (River) through the beautiful rhododendron and oak forests.  We will follow ascending and descending trail and cross the beautiful river and we finally reach Lama Hotel. In Lama Hotel you can have delicious dinner which represents traditional culture of Lama. Overnight at Lama Hotel.

Day 5: Trek to Mundu (3,543m) by the Langtang village (3,307m)


In this day, early in the morning after having breakfast, we’ll head towards Mundu. During your trek, you will view amazing mountains landscape with plenty of waterfalls until we reach to the green meadows of Ghoda Tabela. From the Ghoda Tabela, you will witness the white caps of the Langtang Range. Further climbing takes you to view traditional Buddhist Monastery and you will reach Mundu. Overnight at Munda.

Day 6: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3,798m)


Kyanjin Gompa is a famous place for traditional culture, which is situated at the elevations of 3,798m. Before you reach to Kyanjin Gompa, you will pass through watermills in a small settlement and a big Mani Wall. People believe that the wall is full of prayers and incarnations. Further upwards trail lead you to Kyanjin Gompa then you will get chances to explore this beautiful Village. Overnight at Kyanjin Gompa.

Day 7: Kyanjin Gompa exploration and rest day.


Today is the rest day, in this day, early in the morning after having breakfast, you will get chance to explore the Kyanjin Gompa. We’ll walk upwards to Tsherko Ri, where you can take a training trip because of its tough route and you will continue your trip through the amazing view of the mountain ranges. In the afternoon, you will return back to Gompa and don’t forget to visit a famous Yak Cheese Factory, where you will be welcomed warmly. Overnight at Gompa.

Day 8: Trek back to Lama Hotel (2,500m)


In this day, early in the morning after having breakfast, we’ll start trek towards Downhill which takes you to a famous Lama Hotel with beautiful views which we missed in the ascending trek. During our trek, we’ll visit various Tamang Villages and beautiful forests. Overnight at Lama Hotel.

Day 9: Trek to Syabru Bessi (1462m/4795ft) Duration: 5-6 hrs


After breakfast, we’ll continue upwards and discover Rimche Village. Then after we’ll make the downward trek back to the Langtang Khola, where you can enjoy with fresh water and continue trek through the bamboo forest, landslide and exceptional views until you will reach Syabru Bessi. Overnight at Syabru Bessi.

Day 10: Syabru Bessi to Kathmandu


This day will be your final day, early in the morning after having breakfast, we’ll drive back to Kathmandu with the memory of the amazing day before. After you will reach the hotel in Kathmandu, you will have some rest and, in the evening, you will meet the leader of Nepal Planet trek for your trek review.

Day 11: Kathmandu rest day and enjoy farewell dinner


In this day, you can rest and do some shopping in the lively market Thamel or a leisure day in Kathmandu which can be used for exploring. You can visit holy temples likePashupatinath, Swyambhunath and many more. And in the evening. you can enjoy farewell dinner with Nepali cultural program with ours team.

Day 12: Final Departure


In this day, you were going to leave this naturally beautiful country. Our representative will help you to find your final destination.

  • Nepal entry visa; you can obtain the visa easily upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu (Tourist Visa with Multiple Entries for 15 days can be obtained by paying USD 25 or equivalent foreign currency. Similarly, Tourist Visa with Multiple Entries for 30 days and 90 days can be obtained by paying USD 40 and 100 respectively. Please bring 2 copies of passport size photos.)
