The beautiful place, Helambu is famous for artistic ancient Buddhist monasteries and its Buddhist pilgrimage site. It is one of the short treks near Kathmandu Valley, even though Helambu has been able to maintain its cultural uniqueness intact. The major attraction of Helambu is the cheerful nature of people with their unique culture, tradition and way of lifestyle. This trek will provide you full of enjoyment during your trek, as you pass the beautiful forests fused with varied flora and fauna as well as bird species. Begging this pleasing trek from the Lauribina La Pass by following the Melamchi valley will surely take us to the home place to Hyolmo people, where you can enjoy interacting with the cultural blend of Tibetan Sherpa. Langtang Helambu trek is one of the perfect short treks for those travelers who are bounded by the time but eager to explore the remote and a holy lake Gosaikunda.  This trek is a relatively easy trek due to its low altitude (3000m) and The Thorong La Pass (3600m), the high points.

We will begin our Helambu trek from Kathmandu, around 2 hours drive downtown to Sundarijal or Syabru Bensi (7 to 8 hours’ drive), it depends upon your choices. Trekking through the larch and rhododendron flower forests and birds and exploring glacier and reach to a nearby summit for splendid mountain views is really awesome.
