Overview

Situated in the Gorkha District, Manaslu Trekking (also known as Kutang) with its 8,163 meters (26,781 ft) is the eighth highest mountain in the world. It is one of the most famous destinations due to its physical scenery, rich local heritage and biological diversity, the sensational mountain vistas, fascinating culture and biological diversity, elevations from 600 to 5200 meter of the remote region. Manaslu region has recently been de-restricted and opened to international tourism. Lies in the lap of Gorkha, near a Tibetan border Manaslu offers us the breathtaking Himalayas such as; Mount Manaslu (8163 m), Mt. Ganesh Himal Range, and others breathtaking snow-capped peaks. the major attraction of this trek is the Larkya Pass (5125 m), which also offers you a breathtaking view from the top of Larkya Pass. Trekking through the beautiful Budi Gandaki Valley with the mountain people settlement make this trek worth visiting.

The meaning of this mountain comes from its name, which means “Mountain of the spirit”, originates from the Sanskrit word Manasa, implies “intellect” or “soul”. Toshio Imanishi and Gyalzen Norbu who were members of a Japanese excursion climbed first time on Manaslu on 9 May 1959. That is why some British consider that Manaslu has always been a Japanese mountain. Manaslu Trekking is one of the enthralling trekking mountains and also it is extremely rich in natural beauty and cultural heritage. It offers a variety of adventure trekking options for trekkers.  We start the trek from the fascinating old city of Gorkha, the antique kingdom of the Shah Dynasty that has a mixed Buddhist and Hindu culture.
 
During the way of Manaslu, trekkers from Save Himalaya Treks will get a chance to views some of the magnificent Mountains such as; Himalchuli, Shringi, Langpo, Ngadi Chuli, and Saula, including the majestic Mt. Manaslu. furthermore, they will also see its glacial lakes, Waterfalls, and various floras, and faunas. Itenarary

Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Soti-Khola. (5-6 hrs )


Your travel starts from KATHMANDU. you need to take a private vehicle like Jeep or local bus and drive from Kathmandu to Gorkha region of Nepal. You need to continue around 5 to 6 hours’ drive through small villages and bustling bazaars, then you will arrive in the settlement of Seti Khola in the Bhuri Gandaki Valley. There you will spend a night in a tea house with a guide, guest, and Porters.

Day 2: Trek to Machhikhola. (5-6 hrs)


In the next day, you will start your trek from Bhuri Gandaki River towards its point of origin. Then you will pass the village of Morder and Simre to reach beautiful Arkhat River. From this river, you will slowly drive towards the wonderful Gurung Village of Labubesi and through along the Seti River (an ideal place to take a freshwater bath), until we reach the village of Machha Khola. There you will spend overnight in a local guesthouse. This guest house will provide you with a good hospitality.

Day 3: Trek to Jagat.(5-6 hrs)


On the third day, early in the morning after having breakfast, you will follow the gorge and continue up the river. On the way, you can see and enjoy Langur monkeys usually playing above in the jungle. Finally, you will reach the large Gurung villages and stay over there the whole night in the famous Jagat Guesthouse and have a cultural Gurung food.

Day 4: Trek to Deng. (5-6 hrs) Restricted area starts from here


After having a pleasing night in the Jagat guesthouse, your journey will begin to climb a rocky ridge from where you can view wonderful Sringi Himal (7187m). And then you will Continue your trek through gorgeous fields of maize, potato, and millet before entering the Nupri ( the Western Mountains) through bamboo forests you will reach Buddhist Village. Then in the sixth night, you will stay in Deng guesthouse of this village with amazing local dinner.

Day 5: Trek to Namrung. (5-6 hrs)


On the fifth day, you will get the chance to see numerous stunning Tibetan mani walls which are knottily hand-carved stone walls with Buddhist scriptures. You will continue your trek by weaving in and out of canyons then you will enter into an unimaginative colorful forest of firs, oaks, and rhododendrons ( national flower of Nepal) before reaching in the Namrung. Finally, on the 5th night, you will stay at Namrung which place is very famous for best viewpoint for Siring and Ganesh Himal as well as Mt. Himalchuli.

Day 6: Trek to Samagaun. (5-6 hrs)


 
You will continue your trek and during your journey, you will see a first stunning glimpse of Manaslu and also many locals dress in traditional Tibetan clothes called chubas. Then you will stay overnight in the best and famous guest house in Samagaon

Day 7: Rest day in Sama gaon.


Samagaon is the perfect place for the rest because of its wonderful altitude. And also Manaslu Base Camp and Pungent Gompa are the wonderful places for the magnificent views of the glacier, lake and awesome mountain from all viewpoints. In this day, you will start your Trekking early in the morning, during your journey you will get the chance to enjoy greenery forest. You need to walk around 4 to 5 hours to reach Manaslu Base camp. During your journey, you will see Glacier Lake and Birendra Tal where you will enjoy with the fresh ice water in the BirendraTal and you will also enjoy snowcapped peaks and finally, you will reach a large beautiful village of Samagaon. Then after you will make a short trek throughout the beautiful forest where you will get an opportunity to discover the Gompa that was destroyed by the avalanche during the winter of 1953. Then you will stay in Manaslu Base camp whole day and night for the purpose of rest

Day 8: Trek to Samdo. (5-6 hrs)


On the 8th day, early in the morning, after having breakfast, you will start your trek from Samagaon to Samdo which is located near a Tibet border. Samdo is situated at the altitude of 3,860m. You need to walk around 5 hours to reach there. During your trek, you will see long Mani wall and Chorten at Kermokharka then you will move down to the Budi Gandaki, where you will see some different animals such as; goats, sheep, and Yaks over there. Most of Samdo resistant are Tibetian traders where you can see some Chinese and Tibetan goods, if you like some goods then you can get them as well. Throughout the journey you will view some of the stunning peaks and then finally you will stay overnight in the beautiful Samdo hotel with traditional food.

Day 9: Trek to Dharmasala. (5-6 hrs)


In this day, your destination will be to Larkya Phedi or Dharmshala which is situated at the altitude of 4,480m. You will need to walk around 4 hours to reach the peak of Larkya Phedi or Dharamshala. From where you will get chances to views wonderful Cheo Himal(6820m), Kang Kuru (6981m), Himlung Himal (7126m), Gyagi Kung (7937m), and the greatest Annapurna(7937m). With the pleasing glimpses of different mountains, you will stay overnight in the Larkya Phedi with special food.

Day 10: Trek to Bimthang. (7-8 hrs)


In 10 th day, you will start your trek early in the morning before having breakfast because it will be your longer and challenging trek. Even though you will enjoy the scenic environment with fresh air throughout your journey, not only that, you do get chances to see clear and close Himalayan views. When you will reach in the pick of Larkya La, then you will view wonderful Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Gyajj Kung, Guru and beautiful Annapurna II. After your awesome sightseeing, you will again return back to Bimthang and you will stay whole night in the best tea house in Bimthang.  

Day 11: Trek to Dharapani. (6-7 hrs)


From Bhimtang, after having breakfast your trekking will start to Dharapani. And this will be the final day for your trekking in mountains. 

Day 12: Drive to Pokhara. ( 8 hrs drive)


From Dharapani you have to take a jeep or public bus to go to Pokhara

Day 13: Back to Kathmandu .( Fly or by ground transportation)


Unfortunately, it is the second last day of  your adventure trek. In this day, you will have a breakfast early in the morning then you will hire a private Jeep or a local bus or flight in which you will feel comfortable, then you will make your way to the Kathmandu with the beautiful experience of Manaslu trekking.

Day 14: Depart for Home


When you will arrive in the Kathmandu valley, Save Himalaya Trek's  group will provide you with all the services and prepare for the final departure. A representative will help you to reach the final destination.

Similarly, Tourist Visa with Multiple Entries for 30 days and 90 days can be obtained by paying USD 40 and 100 respectively. Please bring 2 copies of passport size photos.)
